Title: Newby from West Oz
Post by: Tapping Tourer on October 14, 2012, 05:14:20 PM
Gidday Everyone

I have been a member for a while but working a FIFO role overseas has limited my time on the computer (rather be riding, sorry). I am however parked up for awhile now with knee problems which are keeping me off work and more importantly off the bike. My gauge for going back to work will be long after I am back on the bike  :(.

Anyway, I have a ST 1300 ABS which I brought ex Sydney 12 months ago. I sold some equipment I had and suggested to the Handbrake that I buy a bike for my boys, Handbrake must have been in a good mood and suggested I buy one for myself, bike purchased before there was an opportunity to change her mind  :thumbs.

I had trail bikes when I was a teenager and then life got in the way. Priorities have now been realigned (at 50) and loving every opportunity on the bike. I rode around the east coast (which was a real eye opener on a bike) before bringing it back over west (love the long runs)  :13Candy.

I am looking forward to doing some rides with the guys in WA and maybe a trip over east again if I dare.

Cheers

Tapping Tourer

Greetings and Welcome from Sunny Kinross.

I hope your leg recovers soon, and you are able to get out n about. In the mean time, as a service to you, Im sure there will be volunteers to make sure the bike gets some exercise. :grin

The folk on here are for the most part, a great bunch, and the others are certainly interesting characters

G’day Tapping Tourer :hatwave

I hope you’re able to get back on the bike soon and don’t have to do a Tipsy to attend a RTE (Show up with crutches strapped to your back due to knee problems :eek)

Welcome TT,

Hope to see you out and about soon. If you need help with anything, keep it to yourself, we're not interested.

No seriously, if you need a hand with anything, stick up a post and someone's bound to put their hand up.

Take care,

Dave                                                        :wht13

Hi TT - welcome aboard.

Hope the bumble bee isn't a problem for too much longer.

It's ironic that a decent ride is good for the soul and helps one put one's life problems aside - but yours LIMITS your ability to self-administer 'throttle therapy'     >:()

Good luck with it all champ.

Cheers, Diesel
