OK, call time .

50 min to fix, but that includes time taken to take pics as well and how to use the kit.

Last time I had a flat tyre before going on a ride it was the valve stem that had cracked. No tyre repair kit can fix that.

I have successfully fixed a puncture like that in a car tyre with a plug kit. It should work in that spot, but that tyre looks nearly done anyway.

What@s that score line down the middle of the tyre Brock?
I have never had much luck with the mushrooms I use the worm type and have a lot of faith in them.

If it's a PR3 it's knackered!  They have sipes in the centre of the rear.

It's a Bridgie!

I know the feeling Brock,

Avon Storm 2 Ultra fittted 28 Jan '11 - puncture 4 mths later - repaired then 12 Oct '12 callump callump head shake head shake wobbly in corners etc etc - check steering head all OK - closer wheel examination as I thought lost Balance Weight from front wheel - no - all in order - further check revealed the below - new tyre required 15,534 kms later - still had 5-8,000 kms I reckoned - what a waste of good rubber !!!

Believe it or not, I didn't get a flat with this!!!  It was still inflated when the bike shop arrived with trailer to collect it the next day.  I was doing about 140km/h when the tyre delaminated on me.  Wasn't sure what was going on to start with, just felt like it was running a "bit rough"  :eek

What brand Wendy and how many k's? A bit of a worry.

To be honest, I can't tell you either the brand or no of K's.  Back then, I didn't really get involved in maintenance of the bike.  I left it mostly to the ex.  I do know that it had been sitting under the carport unridden for quite some time, so the rubber had obviously perished in the sun.  The local Honda dealer had the tyre mounted on the wall of their workshop for a while, they were amazed that I didn't come to grief....

Scariest, and slowest, 10km I've ever done, getting it to Noonamah!  Luckily I was with a group and I was able to offload my daughter to another bike.

That is incredibly scary!  You can even tell what tyre it might have been unless you know what the cords look like.  worst case of bike tyre delamination I have seen.  I think we should be glad you and you daughter are still with us.
