Remember that if you buy hand grips for the 13 (not sure about the 11) - be sure that they are 22mm (7/8") left grip and 25mm (1") right grip inside diameters.

1100 same diameters. I have been looking for a better pair of grips, some thing like made of surgical rubber (no, I am not putting condoms on my handle bars) that will be a bit kinder to my artrithic hands. Any body have any suggestions please?

I think Shiney, (sorry Shiney if its not you) has a set of grips that cover the old grips and are a lot more comfortable than the originals.

Terry swears by them and reckons they're also comfy just to rest your palms on after a few hours - he of course had a throttle lock to complement them.

Hope this helps.

At this very minute - I have wrapped a bicycle tyre tube around my throttle cylinder - waiting for the new grips to arrive.

Yeah Keith - can these have heating pads under them? Or do you have heated gloves? I guess the weather over there is starting to turn crappy about now...

Haven't got heated grips on either bike but i am looking into heated gloves then i can use on both bikes.

I would say there is plenty of room for heated grips under these but i would be cautious they are made with thick soft rubber and may deform.

Yeah mate you got it in one :grin
If anyone doesn’t want to completely replace the original grips…
Grab-On grip covers ($12) from Motorcycle Larry (MCL) are very good and just slip on over the existing grips adding comfort and a bit of size :thumb

Thanks Shiney

Sabie, the trick I found to putting them on was... :wink1
1.   Remove bar ends
2.   Wiggle the grip cover on a little way
3.   Slap the end with the flat of your hand (this will force air between the cover and the grip and move it along over the grip)
4.   Reattach the bar ends

I found this to be the easiest way to get them on, hope it helps :thumb
