Evenin' All...
Anyone uploaded a MP4 GoPro clip to YouTube without loosing 50+% of it's original HD quality?
If so, tips appreciated.
Ciao, the can :)
PS decided to put me glasses on before I turned on the camera this time and just 2 minutes into filming my first 'clip, I nearly captured me own demise :'(

Youtube automatically compresses video when uploading. Nothing you can do about it... I can still up load 1080 though...
Depends who long you've had your YT channel for, if it's new then you maybe also be limited to 15 min duration

If you go to a site like Vimeo or similar you can upload larger format than YouTube compress to, but again length of account limits time I believe.

Thanks Guys...
Will look more into how to get a better quality Vid to Youtube when I can...but the clip I uploaded was < 60 seconds and it was about 37meg in the default GoPro format, which I think is within the HD format...will try again later when I get time :wink1
Anyway I deleted it from YouTube after viewing the result...it was woeful :-[...anyway, it was literally 2 minutes from turning on the camera a dopy Ulysses patched rider on a blue cruiser pulled his bike off the roadway without indication, then again without indication and without looking proceeded to make a U-turn on a corner, within a 100kph zone :law and about 100 metres of me doing that 100kph...bloody near T-bone the silly sod >:()...and all clearly captured on camera.
Ciao, the can :)
