Welcome to the best rider's forum on the 'net.
I see you live next to some of the best riding roads anywhere.
Looks like you were born lucky, now you've got one of the best two touring bikes going.
-
Your right there biggles was just thinking that my first ride on it might be up and through the tick gates and down into murwillumbah, have done it before on a tlr1000 that i used to have and on an r1 but think it would be a much better experience on the st,and my girl is from beechmont so that is a top ride as well :) , beechmont i mean you dirty minded people
-
Welcome. With a 2000 model nothing much to do except regular maintenance and just ride. The ST loves being ridden all the time, gets sooky otherwise.
-
Jon,
Glad you cleared that up, I was prepared to be TRULY impressed, but hey you're just normal like the rest of us! :p :whistle

Welcome Jonny. Welcome to the world of STism. You'll love the comfort of the ST as I read with interest you once enjoyed the pleasures of a TLR. That was my last ride before the magnificent ST 1300. Hope to see you on one our our many RTE outings.
Cheers.
Skip.

Hey Sabie, I wouldn't be apologising, I'd be picking right back on Harie's typos :grin
-
Yeah I know, but I've seen how upset Harieg gets and I hate to see a grown ST rider cry.........
Easier to be facetious by an over the top apology...... That's how to get back at a spelling bully...... :p
And Sabie only has 1 b........Harieg.... :thumb

Oh - you guys are good! Until Harie gets his 1st Macchiato for the day - he can be like a brush cutter with a bad case of the irrits. Right Harie?
I will invite you for the next coffee - so keep Goldie semi-warm ol mate. Might even thrill you with Mrs Diesel's company - but you have to promise to behave!!! :spank
Cheers, Diesel

Looks like today's the day ol mate. Hope all goes well for you both, and a big welcome to this forum where you can ask all those "what does this do" questions. Going on your previous rides, you may be surprised to find yourself still on the bike after an hour and a half with out a sore :butt
It'll be great to say g'day to you on the next OzSTOC outing.
Enjoy. (And post up a pic or two)
Cheers, Diesel

Thanks too everyone who posted a welcome ,now have the ol girl parked in the driveway waiting to be taken for a run,i reckon it handles better than the tlr it doesnt feel as heavy even though it is 300kg.
-
It ain't so unless you've got piccies pal...... So go grab the neighbours camera and get snapping
-
Gday Whizz thanks for the invite but i am one of the lucky ones that get too work 6 days a week as i am in constrution but thanks for the invite.
My first quick ride after bringing it home was to Kmart to get nail polish and make-up for my 12 year olds birthday party..not the ride i was looking foreward too but any excuse to get the bike out i suppose :)

-
Gday harieg yeah might call her trigger and the ol girl has done well this week have done about 1100ks in a week and my blurter didnt get sore till last trip on saturday so the claims from you guys about the comfort of the ST is spot on .
Suprised the i havent seen any others on the road though but do find it amusing/annoying when i come up behing another car or bike and they jam the brakes on cause they think its a copper :cop, but geez you some some twits on other bikes i had not really noticed them as much when i was in the car.
Oh and feel free too hijack the post and give each other heaps its good for a laugh :thumbs
-
Yeah whizz got the right shades :runyay and i felt pretty and thats all that matters hey haha strange how kids get embarrased of their dads over the simplest things hey >:().

you need to ask Tipsy to post some photo bucket pics of HIS ST
now that's scarey to the average tin top driver
-
You should try it when there are two or three P models in a group. Cars really notice you then, and the UHF is alive with police bike warnings. Seems to have gotten worse since I mounted the driving lights, especially when parked on the side of the road.
-
no ST in trigger
think again
-
especially when parked on the side of the road.
Try pointing a video camera up the road when parked, and watch the fun :grin :grin :grin :grin :rofl :rofl :rofl
-
yeah i thought harieg that but then thought that Trigger was the Steed that Roy Rogers rode in his movies, thought i might sneak that one through :whistle .
