Just had my seat redone with Bill Hobbs at custommotorcycleseats.com.au
Looks and feels like he did a great job for me, a bit more time and a good run will really let me know. Bill was very good to work with, took the bike around to his place, he had a look at how i sat, gauged my weight, looked at my height and asked what were my issues with the seat and what type of riding I do, all good stuff. I am feeling comfortable (pun intended >:() ) with the work he has put in for me and the job was done on the spot while I waited :thumbs
$170 for the seat. I intend going back later to have the pillion seat done and both seats recovered. If you want more customizing then obviously the cost goes up and it takes a bit more time.

Sounds like you got fantastic service, thanks for posting TJ :thumb

Wow! $170! I think the postage from Perth would be more than that. Keep us posted as to how it goes.

Any pics tj?

Sorry no, as mine was not "customized" as such, it looks just like a normal seat. I must admit I should have taken one without the seat cover on which would have shown the work he had done in fitting it for me. I will try and remember to take some piccies when I have the rear seat done and new covers put on.
His website shows some of his customizations with the piping etc.
As a side note, Bill did explain about the idea of the seat material being stretched across the seat so that water does not pool, sounded feasible to me

No problem, thanks TJ
