Now got to work out how I'm going to do it, as I have another gathering in Brisbane at 9:00 on the Sunday morning.

WeSTy and I were thinking of travelling up and seeing you fellas and to get in the Ozstoc photo.  Wouldn't be doing the Farrider thing so is that acceptable?  We'd be supporting fellow Ozstoc members

The meeting place is a public area, so no problems at all.  I went along to a few FarRides before deciding to officially give it a go, and was made most welcome.  They also are a great bunch.

Anyone going had better check for road closures. Hopefully by Friday it will not be too bad, but some roads might be slower going.

Tradition has us stopping in to a most fantastic cafe on the water at Urunga for brekky.

If the weather is fair - this spot is hard to beat, and the food is awesome!

You're all invited - see me for details if you want in.

Well - Streak and I are holed up in the truckies lounge at a truck stop in Glen Innes. It is absolutely pelting down in a lightning storm outside. We made it with so little time to spare, that we even moved the STs to shelter before paying. Could be worse.  Lol. Sposed to be 65 clicks up the road at Inverell, but safety first. Will keep you updated.
Cheers, Diesel

It's lucky that I know where the far ride post is....

But we are stuck in this servo trying to make a plan, we are considering sleeping on the couch at the moment...

We are safe and sound in inverell at the Fossickers rest caravan park, heading for bed.

Cracker of a night ride from glen Inness to inverell, rode inline with all HIDs and lights running, was like Christmas, would have thought it was daytime....averaged 100km/hour all the way over here

For any who ever doubted that FarRiding is never a bit taxing, this photo should silence your questions.

   :eek

Congrats on finally being vindicated, Streak.  There was a far more upside than downside in the experience, I know.  Just the night ride and the run down the mountain would have been worth the effort apart from anything else this weekend.

I eventually turned up at home today.  Took a more leisurely way home, lots of narrow bumpy backroads (Waterfall Way, Thunderbolts, across to Dorrigo then down the Putty Road, across to Oberon and down to Taralga, across a backroad to Laggan to Crookwell then down to Gunning, from there backroads to Canberra.  Apart from hail around Marulan and torrential rain on Friday afternoon the weather was fine.  Just as I thought I was done, in some roadworks from Taralga they kindly decided to dump a truck road of fill across the road but leveled it a bit so I could just make it through.  So now you know why the bike is dirty sometimes - after the rain it was reasonably clean but now a bit sorry.

Diesel's work has just begun... :think1
