Title: Before & After Streaks ST1100
Post by: Streak on December 08, 2012, 05:35:44 PM
Well i am done, i have set my bike up to just how I like it and i was sitting here looking at some before and after photos, thought i would share them, the before photos is the day after i picked it up from Tipsy's place:

Here is a list of Farkles/Changes i have done:

Dash Shelf
1 inch Riders
Bagster Tank Cover & Bag
Bestem Top Box with back rest
Custom Wool Seat Cover
Custom Screen (440mm high)
HID Driving Lights
Lower Flood Lights
Xenon White Light Bulbs
Highway Wings (as built by Tipsy & Harie)
Delkevic Stainless Steel Slip on Pipes (450mm)
12V Adapter in the left hand glove box
2 Watt UHF with Bluetooth adapter & Push to talk
Ram Mounts to hold UHF & 2 Iphones (teela's and mine)
Bestem Pannier Bags for the side panniers

I have spent about $2,500 doing all this, and i have loved every moment of playing with the bike, the only thing i have not done is cut the new tip over covers how i like them, but i am still in search of a local plastic cutter to do it for me.

If your thinking about doing this, have some fun with it, do as much as you can yourself, you will be amazed how simple alot of it is, and how much fun you will have doing it.

oh and if your having trouble doing something, well i know a few ST riders that might just be able to tell you how NOT to do something  :rofl

Streak, do you still have that gearsack rack?  I have a few of the bags, and originally all I wanted was a rack but could not get one.  I am still tossing up about using a rack with the bag facing forward for most of my riding.  The givi rack and back is quite ok of course, but it is up and back, but fully lockable.

Thanks Shiney, it amazed me looking at those old photos, and how different the bike looks

That looks great, well done Streak!

It's funny how we can love our bikes, almost as if they are of the opposite sex. I love my machines.

Your seat looks very comfortable - is that a John Moorehouse mod?

Fitted only 10 minutes after the delivery was received.  Looks like I will have to find some lock nuts before the June FarRide or I may be a rack down on the way home. :think1

I have a number of bags (Venturer and others) that fit it perfectly.  It also doubles as Boxhead's backrest, so you can negotiate with him if you want it that bad.  He's about your size now John and very attached to it. :rofl

Looking good Streak, now time for another one, so you can start all over with the Farkling. :rofl

John, I believe I have one you can have if you still want one. It's off the 'other' bike so it's in my Sister in laws garage.

Ciao, the can :)
