You seem to like your new home Harie.           :thumbs

On the throttle thing.... check that the cable is adjusted correctly FIRST. This is the easiest thing in the process of elimination for the behaviour.

The 1-2 gear change is the worst one for getting a clunk.  Apart from adjusting the throttle as suggested, preload the gear lever with your foot then just flick the clutch while moderating the throttle, and firmly change the gear.  Works most times.

I would post more, but I am trying not to break the BIG RED RULE above.

I have just been up the Hervey Bay and back again (car travel).  April next year coming back up on the bike for the Ulysses AGM, but of course everyone will be at the SA Ozstoc meet before.  I think there are some other rides on but have not planned anything as yet.

Lucky this is in a  protected zone.  And as one of those moderators, I need to look up what 'shame' means..it is not a concept that leaps to mind  :nahnah and yes this is what happens in threads that are not moderated  :butt

i am going for a ride from brendale to eumundi markets
for a 10 minute meeting

then to kenilworth via obi obi
and on to melany, stanley river road to woodford

from there i will either go by mt mee, daybro, closeburn and wynn road to brendale

or via kilcoy and esk then samford and back to brendale
any starters

Just got off the blower with HarieG, and, I am pleased to say, that although he has been quieter than Marcel Marceau in a jet blast - he is fine and doing well, and just a little bit keen to get out for another fang with the ST ers of OzSTOC.

All is well. Goldie is good too, but probably misses hangin with her stablemates just a little....         :gldst11     :'(
