Hi All, I hit a pothole and have damaged both front and rear rims. Has anyone else had this experience, can they be repaired? If so any suggestions as to who repairs them in the Brisbane area?

I am not a 100% sure with this one, are they just scratched or are they bent and out of shape? i googled it for you, and came up with varying answers, most common was that repair can be as much as a new rim if it is bent, but getting scratches and the like fixed is no problem.

Some photos may help us determine the extent of the damage

Hi Guys, here are a couple of photos of the damage to my rims. As you can see front is not too bad, but rear is worse. Tyres are still inflated, and not suffering any noticable wheel vibration when riding.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated...

I have a damaged front rim (ST11) that my tyre bloke said is OK, but recommended this crowd if I wanted to get it repaired. He said they are good - offer a complete service including re-spraying the rim afterwards. Typical cost is around $200 (new rim is about 4 or 5 times that I believe)

They are on the northern end of the Gold Coast, so that may not be convenient.
Doesn't take much of a pot hole to do some damage. I was unaware that I had hit one large enough to cause the damage.

Question, can you sue the Council or MainRoads for the cost of the repair, as they are responsible for the upkeep of the roads????
-
Sure can. Gps the location, photos, witness statements and write to them seeking recovery of cost of repairs. If they argue let your lawyer play with them and add his costs to the bill
