Title: Rear Lighting power (sides, brakes and indicators)
Post by: Whizz on January 07, 2013, 06:50:50 PM
Can some-one tell me the easiest and quickest place to gain access to the brake light power, indicator power and rear light power, with the least amount of dis-assembly please. I want to add extra lights but don't want to cut into harnesses unnecessarily. Ideally I'd like to pick up these separate lines close to the light clusters. Ta!

If the wiring on the 1300 to the rear lights is similar to the 1100 then I'd add the extra wiring from there. The same place you'd go to the add wiring for a trailer plug.

If you have your owners manual it should tell you how to access the rear light cluster to replace blown globes.

Whizz, I have accessed mine from the tail end. Only issue I had was that it is also where the cruise control is and the new fuse box that I put in is located.  If you have the quartet harness then you can access the blinkers there as well.
