This should be incorporated into Australian driving tests:
The impossible texting & driving test (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbjSWDwJILs#ws)
Might help a few people understand what the implications are.

Let's only hope it's introduced here.

Bloody great ad. Pitty it will probably never get on here in Queensland because it may cost a dollar or two to save some lives, and that wouldn't fit in with Campbell Newman's plans.

Now that's real thinking! Trouble is, you show this to a new driver and they'd agree 100% but as soon as they get behind the wheel and they then get a message, they'd try to reply

Ive seen quite a few short films on young people texting whilst driving and the accidents that happen. Whilst this is inherently dangerous, what is even more dangerous is the way people are taught driving in Australia, I have seen 4 of my children pass their driving tests and can only conclude that it is rubbish, and frankly most of them are below average drivers with little or no road skills, because over here you are taught to pass the test and NOT how to drive. There are other factors that come into play with accidents, ie alcohol, too many people in vehicles, young people driving high powered cars etc.
So whilst not dismissing the title of this post as "a brilliant idea" I think the government really has to look at the whole driving test process.
Young people should be taught basic maintenance, how to change a tyre, age and a vehicles cc should be limited a 16 year old can get straight into a V6 supercar and potentially kill on their first outing, the amount of young people in a car should be limited, alcohol should be banned from being inside a vehicle, ( car manufacturers should be made to install in built breathalyzers in cars which if you blow positive it does not allow the car to be driven- these are commercially available)
So maybe we should be petitioning our local government to insist on changes to the driving test.

I like a little bit of "dramatic effect", but when it's over the top it looses all crediblity especially the part when the instructed head butts the dash.....he's not wearing the seatbelt. :cuss
Back to the drawing board...... :|||| :|||| :well

You should send this to all the media stations and Qld Tpt. Someone may get excited and do something sensible, like use it to educate the 'individuals' who are going for licences. :thumbs
