Hey there all Tassie STOC-Riders (and interstate visitors) :hatwave
The annual "Motorcycle Riders Assoc Tas - Toy Run" is on again this Saturday 3rd December 2011 (next weekend). The event is probably the largest congregation of bikes in the State (my guess-dont quote me?). Its a chance for bikers to collect toys, food staples, and anything of value (and in good condition) to donate to the Salvation Army to redistribute to needy kids/families for Christmas. A fantastic cause! :thumbsup
Riders congregate at the Derwent Entertainment Centre (DEC), Near Hobart from 12pm for the 2.30pm ride en-masse into Hobart City to drop-off donate toys. So fill up the top-box and panniers, lets get cracking! Its a great opportunity to:
1) Get together as a club - locally.
2) Gawk at the many many other bikes that will be on show at the DEC.
3) Potentially find more ST owners unaware of the club in Tas.
Sooo.... I was thinking congregating somewhere central (Richmond?) for those riding at around 11pm, then riding as STOC to the DEC at 12 or thereabouts. This is all draft ideas and up for discussion! :phone.

(I think there is a small cost involved to cover organising the event)
I expect it will be a real BUZZ, HOOT. Cheers, Simon

Ride report from the Tassie Toy Run. -> A big big fun day, lots of donations of toys to the Salvo's (importantly) and lots of bikes. Glorified show and shine? Yes! A pretty impressive afternoon. Had a chat with a few fellow ST owners, dropped in a word about the OZSTOC where i could. Over 8000 riders (if you believe the Channel 7 news reader?) Overall an excellant day and the rain didn't dampen spirits to much!!
