Title: Newbie from country W.A.
Post by: Mypod on January 15, 2013, 07:38:40 PM
Hi all,
After twenty years off a roadbike I have finally got myself another one. I used to own a couple of Suzuki GSX750's when I was a lot younger :). I have only just purchased a 2005 ST1100AP ex-police bike with 46500km on the clock. It is a superb bike to ride, comfortable, fast and very practical. I intend to ride to work every day but also to get away on weekends with my wife (who loves it  :) ) occasionally.
I am looking forward to many happy km's on it. I also look forward to chatting, and maybe meeting, with you all.

Hi Yorke and Brock,
Great to meet you guys, I'm down in Narrogin, so York or Perth would be rather a nice ride, there and back in a day.

Thanks guys for your welcome. I was over your way over Christmas and New Year, StinckyPete (not on the bike...hadn't bought it then). My wife's family live in Somerton Pk. and my mum and dad are in McLaren Vale.

Small world, as my old Dad also lives in McLaren Vale.    I've noticed a red  ST1100 in the town on several occasions, so I left a card on the bike last week.

Welcome Mypod,
Good to have another local. Not too sure about another white ST, they certainly seem to be in the majority over here.

G'day Mypod - welcome aboard mate - you and the "love n kisses" are def on a winner there. The STs are the UlTIMATE mile muncher, and looks like you have to munch a few to get anywhere from where you live!     :eek

You won't know this - but they corner extremely well as well!     :nahnah

Just kiddin.

Glad you've joined in the circus mate - enjoy your time here, and pick the brains trust for any details you may want to know about.     :thumbs

Cheers, Diesel
