Was speaking with a Qld motorcycle officer a few weeks ago at an event. He'd ridden the QPS issued FJR to the event and noticed mine and another ST1300 parked out front. He told me they were to move to ST1300s and were just trying to sort out some electronics conflict with their flashing lights. No comment on timeline.

Does that mean Honda are still making the 1300P versions - or are there plenty, still in crates around the place waiting to be assembled?
-
Not sure Dave.
But tonight I saw a photo of a line of black ST1300s still in the crates (arrived from Japan) supposedly to be used as unmarked police bikes for Qld.

Hmmmm..... maybe that's what the other guy meant, whom you were talking to.

BLACK un-marked police ST1300's ??? :eek
Now that's being down right sneaky of them. (IF it's true) :blk13 They would look rather sweet though :thumbsup
Whats wrong with nice shiney whaite ones covered with the appropriate decals and disco lights ? :law
Keeping my ST1100 white for that reason - usually get the attention of the idiots driving tin-tops, giving us a chance of not being hit.

There have been a spate of motorcycle accidents lately on Perth Freeways. Maybe the extra bikes will deter motorcyclists from doing the dangerous practise of lane splitting?
Play safe and live.

Its not that dangerous, I have only knocked the mirror covers off once.. :grin :grin
Its not something I do often, but its certainly a time when being white helps.
