:CB-- At the moment my plan is to leave Perth around 13:00 Tuesday 12th heading south to Bunbury, Walpole and Albany and then across via Ravensthorpe and Esperence then the Nullabor, arriving in Middleton around 4PM SA time on the Thursday 14th

Might try and get a couple of hours sleep at the Border Village or Ceduna if I can Wednesday night. :crazy

:think1 I will have to get my camera working off the bike battery to record all the 'roos I see, as I will definitely lose count ( I'm stuffed after 10!! ) :fp

I have been contemplating leaving on AM Monday 12th, at this stage I don't know where to overnight, I was going to see when I felt like it. This will be a first for me over such a distance, I have been thinking of the Far-ride to Augusta as a practice, not far ride as such, maybe an overnighter with lunch thrown in.

Hi Gavo, you look like about a 7 hr run to Norseman, then 12 hrs to the border and another 12 from there. KI is a great place for a few days, once you leave the flat-top most roads are ball bearings, take it easy on the ST.

How did the run go Johno?, I intend going south on 16th Feb, leave York around 7am via Roe and Kwinana fwy. Will be on Roe at Midvale around 8 and Kwinana around 20 mins later, can meet up if you are interested for an RTE in Augusta.

It was good to Southern Cross and then rained all the way into Kalgoorlie. Rained to Esperance and then fine to Perth.
I will come for a ride on the 16 February.

Yorkie,
Traffic on Roe at Tonkin and Kwinana Freway can be a liitle heavy at that time of the morning. If it is not heavy watch out for radar guns at the 80 kmph section at the end of Roe.

Scarp, don't you know work is a four letter word :well :well .

Not good letting it get in the way of a good ride!

Guess I will catch a few of you at Augusta as well.

:H Spent all day today tidying up the rats nest of wiring on my ST. Still no transmit on the CB, but a fix is on the way from Dale :runyay .
Also finally installed the Stebel horn, wear your earmuffs if you upset me!

Sorry Yorkie, didn't realise it was a Saturday. But still watch that 80 k area at the end of of Roe. Before Christmas cops were there on bikes with radar guns every time I went there, about 4 times over a week or so.

Does any body know if B100, Flinders Way from Ceduna to Port Lincoln is a sealed road or dirt?

well and truly sealed......actually it's designated ALT1 (Alternate HWY1 )as it follows the coast around the peninsula to Port Lincoln and back up to Port Augusta.
