Hello All
Back on 2 wheels after 30 years.Went looking for a 1200 Goldwing and found the STs.
Picked up my ST1100PY in Dandenong and rode the 1200k back to Gunedah in 2 days as my first ride in decades.
A joy to ride, 32k on the clock now up to 35 in2 Weeks.Heads for the horizon at an alarming rate if encouraged. :dred11

35K is something I would wish for..my 96 ST1100P just turned over 180,000kms (and it seems like it will still do 180kph, theoretically). Welcome to the club. Hopefully some rides up you way will be scheduled, as well as some further south in NSW.

Welcome to the zoo Graham.

G'day Honk.
Glad to hear you're chuffed with the 11 - a fantastic machine.
Welcome to the forum - see who's near you via the Member Map in the menu along the top, and go for a ride with some great company.
Cheers, Diesel.
PS - My CANDY '04 is sooooo much faster than the white ones, that he had to flash his lights at me so I'd pull over and wait for him. :fp

Was that a recent interview, Diesel?

Was that a recent interview, Diesel?
No. More like artistic licence. I actually have a reasonable stash of points if anyone wants to buy a few,
-
Welcome Graham
Good to see another "RED ST" join in and no need to tell you that RED ones are faster
Because Diesel has already done that.
Enjoy the site as the is a lot of good info here

Welcome Graham,
Please clear up some confusion for me. Your avatar and signature show a red bike yet as an ST1100PY (therefore ex police) one would assume it is white?? :think1

How can that be?? I can't keep up with you on a ride, yet I'm awarded points for effort and you're not! :spank
BTW, how much for 3 points? 8)

Not all PYs are still white, Mine is a very pretty teal colour :)

Only a girl would say teal! Is that blue or something :think1

No, it's not blue! Have a look and you tell me what you'd call the colour ....
-
Not sure what the colour is, (greenish blue??), but its got a funny sort of mould growing on it.

We have some pretty weird moulds up here in the tropics Brock......
But seriously, I made the mistake of letting my 12yo daughter decorate the bike for the toy run, who knows what she'll come up with next year..... :think1
-
Wendy,
I have to agree with you, it's not blue.
It's a sort of Terqu,,,,,,,, Tourqu,,,,,,,, Greenie,,,,,,,,, Tealie,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Isn't teal in the "Green" family. The Ambo's in Qld wear Teal and is definitely a green....

What's that got to do with whether Wendy's bike is blue or not Poppy? Please don't say bah humbug...
-
Well, I have seen and rode Wendy's bike....it's teal :thumb

Aqua? Bit of bathroom cleaner might fix that mould, comes with living in the tropics.

I think the bike colour debate should be in another thread.
