It cost the Federal Gov. $500,000 to find out how to best celebrate 100
years of the Gallipoli landing and this is what the d!@&heads came up with
that we would upset some people in the community by celebrating Anzac Day
(you know who they meant). My God, we have Japanese and Germans march on
Anzac Day, a day to commemorate their mates who did not return.
Now are you ready for this?.....The Federal Gov. is now going to throw another $100,000
to someone to find out WHY it was suggested we tone down Anzac Day. What a
bunch of commie barstewards that govern our country
What the Hell is this bulldust about 'toning down' ANZAC day because it may
offend immigrants in Australia?
What an absolute crock of excrement!
This is Australia because all our forefathers fought for us..
This is one special day that 'we' proud Aussie's Pay our respects to the
many heroes lost fighting for our freedom and OUR! Country!
So who cares if some DAMN ILLEGAL immigrant that's funded by OUR taxes
gets offended because of tribute we rightfully pay to OUR ANZACs!
If you're a proud Aussie too please send this on just to remind them who's
country they're in!!

It's my opinion that Anzac Day is more of a patriotic day for Australians than Australia Day.

PC do gooders should be taken out and shot. Immigrants to this country came because of our values (well most of them ) if they dont like what is on offer then leave.

Who gives a toss about what the Feds think, we will continue to celebrate as we see fit and to hell with the polies and their political correctness. If immigrants don't like it then they can leave!

This is our country, and we celebrate/acknowledge our troops living and passed on, the way we see fit. if the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS don't like it, they can leg it home :cuss :cuss

Whilst I agree with all the sentiment expressed in these posts - please remain clear that Dave's text alludes to 'immigrants' NOT 'ILLEGAL immigrants' - i.e. NOT refugees or boat people - but people we have welcomed in to our fold as new Australians. These people got here by fair and legal terms and due government process, and can walk proudly across the tarmac of the airport as new friends. (Just as Italians, Greeks, English can when leaving their immigration offices for a new life).
These same people have met all the required criteria for education, prospective employment, sponsorship, financial viability, skills and specialties they can add to the Australian society, and their keeness to start fresh in a new land of opportunity.
All this being said, they MUST understand our EXISTING NATIONAL PRIDE and respect that we honour and revere OUR heroes for services to THIS country.
The ILLEGAL ones are not even out on the street to get insulted, and certainly would not stand up politically to argue against a country's ritual of honouring heroes.
