Title: Which shim kit is preferred for 1100 ???
Post by: Abe on January 22, 2013, 06:24:39 PM
After the National Rally the bike (1994 1100) will have just over 100K on her and is need of some TLC.

Looking at doing timing belt, valve clearance and some other minor things, so:-

Have timing belt, thanks to Brock and Amazon.

Which shim kit is preferred OR if time permits, just order the sizes required??

Cheers
Dave

I have the Hotcams shim kit.  Precision Shims Australia respond very quickly by phone to complete web order inquiries, ship very quickly for any size you want, overnight even.

I could have lent you the kit at Rylstone if I knew.

I should also have mentioned that a local Honda shop used to do a straight swap of shims, but as I was at work I did not know whether they would be open when I was able to do the shims.  May be another option if the time works out.
