This is no competition to a ST moving solution such as the expensive "Park'n'Move" but if your goal is to simply rotate an ST in its own circumference then this simple steel tray procedure does the job:
Find a steel BBQ tray that won't be missed. It should be at least as wide as the centre stand. This one is very small.

Place the tray under the centre stand and place the bike on the centre stand.

Start rotating by using the rear pillion handles and slowly rotating the ST with the front wheel off the ground.
It is surprisingly easy. Do this carefully or the ST could overbalance and topple. >:() :spank

Then the STeed can be backed into a congested carport ready for the next STride.

Small trays cop a hiding. Bigger trays fare better.

This will work on any flat, hard surface. The tray can be part of your camping gear when you're out'n'about adventurin'.

Clever move! Would spin easily on lawn too, but be more prone to topple.
Next, someone is going to weld castors on their centre stand. :grin

Sorry guys, >:()
Created this on a PC earlier, am now checking on an IPad and all the pics are missing. Don't know why yet.
Stop looking! I've found them on my PC. I'll post them down to you. Just need your street address...

The pics need to be loaded separately, thruogh photobucket or similar. You cant copy and paste.

Very funny, Bigs. :runyay
Are u saying the pics came thru on your PC? So it's an apple compat problem? I thought they were all gone now.
Yep, they're all on my PC. I hope other PC users are getting them too. I'm not intentionally hogging them. :grin
I see red ST, driveway, cluttered carport and dinged tray. Do I pass?

I am on my PC, dont have an ithingy.
Can you see my test pic, its housed in a dropbox public folder
They dont show on my Samsung tablet

Good work Gregory, now that's thinking outside the square/circle. I previously used a 2mm flexible plastic chopping board (less height to lift the bike, like your baking tray, when rotating the bike)
But it's not red & white ???? the Dragon's wont be happy.
Cheers
Dave

Looking at the img information, i think the pic may be several layers in (folder within a folder) and the browsers are unable to resolve the info. The pics try to load on opening the thread but just cant get at the information

To get back to the original topic, I've seen something along these lines using two flat steel sheets one on top of the other with a copious layer of thick grease between them. The bottom plate sort of sticks to the floor whilst the top plate slides with the bike on it. Saw it originally whilst doing undercarriage retraction tests on an aircraft, where they roll the aircraft Oleo (undercarriage) legs onto the plates whilst they retract and extend the undercarriage.

This has me :think1 :think1 maybe an axle with double row ball bearings each side

Seeing the pics fine on my Samsung Android tablet.
What I need is something that will make it easy to turn a bike that doesn't have a cenrestand around in it's own length. That way the missus won't keep asking me to turn her bike around... :whistle

What about this http://radum.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=6540 (http://radum.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=6540)
or this http://radum.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=6541 (http://radum.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=6541)
There is another one in the adds they have in Just Bikes, but their website is crap and it doesn't show SN0203, which might also work.
I bought a bike stand from Radum in Sydney, and for the money it was a brilliant buy. Freight was reasonable, but they have outlets in Brisbane, if that helps.

I'm an an ithingy and all photos are there for me or has the issue been resolved.
My solution to moving the STeed was to get a bigger garage. Easy. :thumb
