Greeting strangers, I thought I would follow protocol & and introduce myself. I have been riding for forty years ( including the Honda Mini Trail then XR75 and Bultaco. My first road bike was an indestructible XS650 then a destructible Ducati. I think it was the side of a Toyota that saw the end of that. Then a Guzzi Lemans for many years. The last few years I am enjoying the Harley XR1200. Suits my style of ride. We are establishing a business, Zen Motorcycle Gear. We have designed & imported a range of apparel, including gloves, jackets, and pants.
We are also distributors for Mobil, Spectro & K&N filters Rossi Boots, ( and soon forma boots. )
Anyway, I think we first had contact with Streak when we supported the ride for Jamie Lord. Streak just purchased a pair of summer gloves. Ask him what he thinks of them. We support the ST owners group with discounts on our range. If you have any questions just PM me.
Regards,
marx

Howdy Marx. from Gippsland I see, the other side of Victoria from where I come from originally. I have a younger brother floating around your way somehere

Hi Marx and welcome to OzSTOC. Another XS650 rider? Mine handled like rubbish, and vibrated so much that it was given the nickname of "The Black Dildo" by my mates, but so much fun to ride. He she is in Tassie in about 2005, along with a younger version of me......

Welcome Marx, shame about the Harley, but there you go.... :grin :grin W(ell some one had to do it. at least I wont be smitedddd)

The question in the topic was "Did someone say Harley?"
Most definitely the writer misheard. It's not been spoken recently, and when it was I think it might have been disparagingly. Could be wrong. Wot thuh
Anyway. The gloves and other kit looks good.

Hi there from Brisbane south.... :thumb |-i :well

Thank you for the warm welcome. I went to the Melbourne motorcycle show recently and fell for the Honda VFR800X Crossrunner. But as I am a true motorcycle enthusiast I actually appreciate the offerings of most of the manufacturers. BMW are doing amazing things.Honda is going from strength to strength. Harley changes paint colour and calls it a new model or a 109 year limited edition anniversary model. My XR1200 has been deleted from their range is they have no idea how to market it. It is the only harley that stops and handles. The front end & brakes are showa. ( not enough chrome & tassels ). Zen Motorcycle Gear has derived from a passion in motorcycling, rather than a fantastic way to make a quick dollar. Due to integration in the supply chain and low overheads we can provide quality product at good pricing. ( I have had more than 10 years of paying staff and paying commercial rent to landlords ).

Hi Marx, and welcome to the lunatic asylum. Nice to see some from the Harley fraternity speaking well of anything not built in the US. I tried a Harley once...didn't like it, ran out of petrol after 30 minutes, couldn't hear anything for 20 minutes after I got off, had to use a scrubbing brush to get the bugs off my face (wasn't allowed to wear a full-sized helmet). Won't try that again!
Honda :thumbsup :thumbs

Welcome Marx.
I know quite a few Harley riders and I talk to them. So I guess I could talk to you to.
Best of luck with Zen Motorcycle Gear

Hi Marx and welcome. I have noticed two types of Hardly riders in my travels, the 'look at me cause I ride a Harley' roosters with all the branded gear, boots, gloves, 'piss pot' helmet, etc, and true motorbike riders that happen to ride an American V twin. You sound like the latter and I would be happy to ride with you any day.

My ST recently went for a ride around Australia with two Harleys, and they all got on very well together. Here's the link to my Ride Report. http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=1345.0 (http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=1345.0)
(I must hasten to add that one of them, with just 40,000km on the dial, needed a $4,000 full engine rebuild when it got back home :fp )

Thank you Diesel,
I actually introduced myself to a member of this forum on Sunday at Loch in South Gippsland, Victoria on Sunday. Said he couldn't make it to the national get together. Didn't get his name. :fp Not so chatty.
Even though our focus is to develop the Zen range of apparel. Which is always interesting with a very limited marketing budget. Our biggest volume movers is the Mobil 1 with the K&N filters.

Hello Mark,
Just a question, do you do a pack? Oil, Oil Filter & K & N Air filter for the ST1100?
-
Hello Mr. Streak,
The answer is yes.
The ST takes the K&N204 for the 1300 or the KN303 for the 1100. I advise checking with the K&N filter website.
The filters $19-90 less 10%
We are a distributor for Mobil. We only distribute their synthetic product - Mobil 1 racing oil fully synthetic 10w-40 4 Litre $78- 00 less 5%
Oil $74-10
Filter $17-90
Plus freight $15-50
= $107.50

If you wish to double the order the freight would remain.
