Just returned from the PI Classic and had a brilliant time there. Oldest bike was a 1926 Indian Altoona, with the New Era Period 6 racers including models up to 1990. The fastest bike on the weekend was only 6 seconds slower than Max Biaggi's current SBK record of 1:31.7, which is only 1.6 secs slower than the MotoGP record. Shaun Giles set it yesterday on a 1982 Suzuki Katana, so there was definately some serious action going on :candystwheelie :grin.
I didn't see an ST there (including my own as I had to drive down with my son this time), but I was wondering if anyone else got down there. For those of the era of watching 70 -80's superbikes and who didn't make it and perhaps haven't been to PI for a bike race, it's an ideal weekend with large enough crowds to add to the atmosphere, but small enough without being too hectic. Did I mention that Agostini was there again this year and probably for the last time. He did some demo laps on a replica MV 500. That sounds a bit like an add, but Lach and I had a great weekend, watching everything from practice, to races, pit walks to dribbling over (near) some of the bikes in the car park!

To make it fair racing the British bikes, they made me wear a parachute on the CBX1000 at the Phillip Island Classic

I saw a couple of CBX's in the parade, but I was clicking off a heap of snaps and hadn't had a close enough look to see the CBX with 6 pipes, but I just checked and I only got the one with the panniers. What a great weekend though!
