Hi All, I have had my 95 ST from new and I dare say it will see me out. I have seen a lot of this great country on her. I have only changed one failed spark plug in all my travels. The only repair free bike I have owned. Hope to catchup with some of you in the near future

Cheers

Old Hume cafe is also good, and the Crookwell Bistro is good value. After the weekend I will see what can be organised.

G'Day Bill,
STirrers, I met Bill near Yass on my aborted trip to Middleton. However we had a great day's adventure on the STeeds cruising all the way to Balranald. He has such vast experience with the 1100 that I assumed he was a long-standing member of Ozstoc. Little did I suspect he had met even fewer oz stockers than I.
It's funny that he said he has virtually only changed spark plugs sice '95 because when we we pulled up at Balranald Caravan Park Bill thought he heard a noise that sounded like a bearing failure or the like. He knew his ride so well that he really did think he was in for his first major repair. But the next morn he started her up and there was nothing to hear other than the steady turbine hum of the 1100.
Bill also owned the legendary Honda 4 that we all know changed the face of reliable motorcycling forever.
IMHO the bikes that mattered the most in modern motorcycling was the Honda 4, Kawasaki Z900, Watercooled Suzuki 750, the ST. I hesitate to add the Goldwing because of its size and mindset required to want one. But some people have both don't they WAG. I had a beemer boxer 650 that I enjoyed, but was disappointed in its reliability and design. But I'm not as knowledgeable on the subject as some and am happy to be informed otherwise. :clap
Anyway, getting back to the subject, welcome Bill. Hope to see u at Ebor where I will definitely be at and if u would like to join Abe and myself we are going a day early so we can check out the Ebor area a bit more.
BTW dropped into Gunning on the way back to the Gong and had a meal in the pub where the young girl in the dining room had never heard of u. This means u r not enough of a pisspot and this is a serious fault in your habits. :beer :rofl
