Title: Right-angled tyre valve adapters
Post by: Whizz on February 10, 2013, 10:17:30 PM
Anyone know where I can get a couple of right-angled adapters for the tyre valve stems, just until I get some new tyres, then I'll get right-angled valves fitted

You only need one Whizz, not a good idea to leave them on when you ride. I have heard of them breaking the valve stem.

Wheni bought my replacement bike just under a year ago, it was fitted with the brass right angled things. On close inspection both rubber sections were cracked almost through to the airway. Changed immediately for the real things. The poorer versions can be really dangerous if used on a serious bike.

Pretty sure i got one off the dealer where I got the tyres fitted. They had a heap of fittings and adapters hanging on the wall where they fitted the tyres.

Your local bike shop should be able to help.

I had a metal one on the front which the Tyre Guy took off and put a straight Rubber one on, I discovered it a while later, my fault for not checking.

So next Tyre change on the front I have to buy a new one and put it on.... Not happy Jan.

oh and it was colour coded to match the rim too....
