Hi, I'm looking for a bit of comfort for the ride to SA for the rally.
Airhawk or a Gel Seat or is there is another recommendation?????
Thanks everyone....

I tried a gel seat and couldn't sell it quickly enough. Airhawks have the advantage that you set the hardness. I put mine under the sheepy. It looks better and can't be pinched as easily (they're not cheap). Protected from the elements there also. I recall the gel seat from a local bike shop was about $40 dearer than I got the Airhawk for.

Thanks biggles... Looks like it might be the way to go..
I was planning to do the same thing an put it under the sheepy... :thumb

I haven't tried either on the bike, but have seen/used both as wheelchair cushions. I would definitely recommend the air hawk for pressure relief

I use the airhawke, I love it, I have mine inflated alot, I know you're only suppose to have a small amount of air in it, but I get num bum if it's not inflated enough.

The problem others have reported (and I experienced) with over-inflation is a tendency to move back and forward on the seat with acceleration and deceleration.
Might be related to the acreage of one's stern. :think1
Wot thuh
:grin

I bought the gel seat to replace my OEM which need recovering. Gel seat is better than OEM but we still make it a little more comfy with a goat skin seat cover. Home made but it works.

Yeah I get that a bit when braking hard, but I've grown accustomed to it so no problems.
