Hey Guys and Gals
I bought myself a HUD but did not realise that it needed to have 1 wire connected to the speed sensor so it is no good for my 1100. (bugger)  :|||| :||||

it cost 56 quid so if any one is interested I will have it with me at Middleton

Why not get yourself a speed sensor from somewhere like Jaycar and fit it. Push bikes also use a similar system.

The device is really a projector. You place a special screen/film on the window that the output is seen on.

The device is powered by the vehicle, and is connected to a speed sense line, or an impulse generator (similar to the one used for cruise control). Then the unit is calibrated while on the move to show correct speed.

There are other types that use a gps to provide speed, and others that plug in th the diagnostic port and display all sorts of stuff.

So the film goes on the wind sheld or the helmet visor? If the windsheild then that would require it to be up all the time, and really you still have to look down a little

Yes, on the windshield, its really designed for the windscreen of a car.
