I was never one to listen to music while riding as the iphone earphones would always fall out and annoy me.
But since installing a starcom on my helmet and bluetoothing it.
I mostly listen to loud upbeat music rock and blues...
I sometimes also use the iphone app Pandora which it kind of like you own playlist radio station. punch in a few songs you like and it will populate a playlist with similar music.
So what do you guys listen to?

Having been fortunate enough to have toured for over 100,000 km, I have only listened to music for one or two days. Not my "cuppa tea" I'm afraid, and I'd rather absorb what's going on around me, or get lost in my own thoughts. However, my touring mates won't roll a wheel unless the iPod is cranking.

My Ipod has a selection of 12,300 songs and set to shuffle
and I can listen either thru the helmet speakers or external speakers where I can entertain the world.

I'm a take it or leave it sort of bloke, but do enjoy having music on sometimes. Recently I've been listening to Groove Armada and St Germain. I always wear ear plugs, so sometimes the "quiet bits" get lost. Today I rode 490 Ks and only had music for about 100, so I mostly leave it.
Samsung GS2 to a Finn Moto BT headset. Great little speakers!
Had a hearing test yesterday morning and had an all clear.

I bought a scala headset on the way to work this afternoon. Long story short - the iphone 5 works well - will have to add to the 1500 songs already on it tomorrow.
With the ringing in my ears a permanent feature, the novelty may soon wear off.
Have a eclectic mix of blues , rock, jazz & oddball stuff too.
t.i.s.m, hoodoo guru's , dropkick murphys, U2 to name a few ....
