Title: Locks and ignition etc
Post by: Poppy Dave on March 14, 2013, 12:03:05 AM
Guys,

I was clearing out some crap in a box the other day and I came across a smaller box which contained the Ignition all the locks (I think) and ONE key,  from my old Police ST1100 which were changed due to being able to remove the key whilst the bike was still running. Not a good thing to happen.

Anyway,,,,,,,,,,,,, they are free to a good home. Suggest someone in WA as there is quite a weight to them and postage would be a killer.

If you want them, let me know and they're yours.

My pannier locks were different key so I removed the locks, lubed them, inserted the ignition key and filed the tabs until flush with the barrel, all good now one key fits all.

same key all  round but ignition holds the key when steering lock is on except if i move the bars slightly to release. One lock on each pannier wont work but i have not tried yet to remove barrel. Is this hard?

Yes, mine are still available........................ and I've found the 2nd key.

They were replaced by a dealer so I have no idea about the ease of changing them. The Ignition lock appears to be held in place by 2 x bolts and then just plug into the system. The rest appear to be quite easy to do. Looks not complicated BUT??????

If you undo the screw holding the pannier locks in place, they are then only held with a circlip, quite easy to remove.
