Hi,
I came across this site after viewing a link and photo on Facebook today. I wish I had known about this great Club before as I would have loved to have joined you at the annual rally.
Now, a little bit about me. I've been riding for 37 years, except for about 10 years when the kids were growing up and have mostly owned Hondas, of course. I bought my current bike new in 2009 - ST1300 and get out for a ride every chance I have. Working shift-work means I only get one weekend off in three so I make the most of these weekends. There are a lot of great roads to ride both north, south and east of adelaide. No rides directly to the west of Adelaide unless your bike goes under water!
In 2010, three of us rode from Adelaide to Darwin and return, with a couple of nights at Uluru on the return journey. We were away for 3 weeks and had such an enjoyable time. Enjoyed it so much we immediately planned to do it again and will be leaving from Bolivar, SA on Monday 8th April. In November 2011 I rode by myself to Biloela, Qld. where my Son lives. This was another great ride with a lot of beautiful scenery along the way. I'm hoping to do this ride again in November this year.
Well, that's about all for now. I'll be looking through a few of the other posts and checking out these pages often. :thumbs
Kind regards, Don Law.

Thanks very much Marcus.
I don't need much convincing or having my arm twisted to get out for a ride. And yes, this certainly is a great site.
Hoping to catch up with as many ST Owners in the future. :thumbs
Kind regards, Don.

Nice shot of the best coloured ST13 with the matching Bougainvillea!
Pity you found us late, but great that you have got on board. With a taste for distant travel like that you'll go a long way with this mob. :grin

Wecome Don
Whats on top of trailer?
Is that a throw up tent or the camp cot?
Good looking rig :thumbs

Great to have you aboard mate! Looking forward to seeing you about!

G'day Don, enjoy the forum ride.....
-
Thanks once again for the warm welcome. :thumbs
Alan - I'll definitely bee keeping an eye on any SA events.
Tony - If I head to Biloela in November, I'll be stopping for fuel in West Wyalong. From memory, there's a pretty good bakery there. :runyay
Biggles - Hopefully I won't start any arguments here but yes, I agree, I do have the best coloured ST1300. These photos were from our last trip to Darwin in 2010. The photo with the Bougainvillea in the backgroud is at the Daly Waters Historic Pub http://www.dalywaterspub.com/ which is a must see/stop at location when travelling the Stuart Highway. Great atmosphere and you meet some real characters. :hatwave
Gavo - Yep, that's the Camp Cot strapped on top of the trailer. Only takes a couple of minutes to set up camp which is ideal after a long days ride. Trailer is a Shadow Trailer made by Wayne Dingle in Somerton Park, SA. The esky will be replaced with a WAECO fridge on the next long ride north (only 10 days to go!). :clap
Well, thanks all once again and have a Happy Easter.
Kind regards, Don.

Hi Don and welcome to OzSTOC from another South Aussie. It was bad luck that you didn't find us before the National Rally at Middelton as we had a great time. Keep an eye on the SA prt of the Forum, as we are putting together a schedule of SA Ride To Eat (RTE) events.
