S.E QLD ESK Bakery Lunch Saturday 3rd August 2013

Time: 11.30pm

Heading to ESK for a Lunchtime RTE, This is a Great chance to meet any new faces that have joined, and Catch up with the Old. Food is awesome, Good service, and first class coffee! If you have friends with other styles of bikes who you would like to bring along, they are more than welcome  :thumb

Brisbane Meet Point: Meeting Place will be Samford Village (Station Rd Carpark) at 10.00am (Google Map http://goo.gl/maps/yXSSe (http://goo.gl/maps/yXSSe))

Toowoomba Meet Point is: BP on North & Ruthven (Google http://goo.gl/maps/HkkuS (http://goo.gl/maps/HkkuS)) at 10.30am leaving 10.40am

OzSTOC Events are not group rides, so you can come straight to Esk, or you can meet up with other members and take the windy way, it is completely up to you  :thumbsup

Don't forget to Wear your OzSTOC Shirts!

Glorious day today! 160km round trip, sun was out, could have stayed out all day if Diesel and i didn't have to get fitted for suits, was a great roll up at Esk Bakery, thought there was going to be about 6 people with all the events we have had close together, but instead we had 12-14 people, everyone as always had a good chat and a laugh.

We gave a round of appause and a thank you to one of the older lady's who works at Esk Bakery who is retiring in 4 weeks  :thumb

She Also made me one hell of a coffee today, check out the photo, and it was the best coffee i had ever got there!

Thank you again to Col from Esk Bakery who shouted us all our first coffee with our orders  :hatwave

Tipsy and us were the last to leave but as we were about to head off Tipsy found his battery was dead :eek
But thankfully after one quick call, Col arrived with his 4WD and some jumper leads and Tipsy was back on the road :wht11 :runyay

Nice ride to a great venue, too bad much of the ride was on the Motorway, but any ride is worth the effort.  Great to see those we've met previously and good to meet Diesel and TJ for the first time..

A 380km round trip for us and we were home early enough to mow the lawns - is that good or bad?  Very generous of the bakery to provide the first coffee free.

Tipsy was unfortunate in having a flat battery after leaving his ignition key on!!  Shiney and I gave him a push up the road - and back again, but to no avail.  A set of jumper leads was apparently on the way as we left - hopefully it all worked out well for you Tipsy.

Bronwyn and Holzie were heading off to Dalby for a night with rellies, great to see you again and hope you enjoyed your long(ish) ride today.  Holzie spent much time looking at bikes and their associated gadgets - his wish list is rapidly growing.  At least you won't be stuck for Christmas present ideas Bronwyn!

YES I arrived in my normal manner with ACDC blaring from external speakers,
Had Coffee and a Big Breakfast then 2nd coffee,chat and a laugh with all and Sundry
Col was getting around with walking stick and still in pain (Old bike injuries broken bones and cold weather) are not good,
AND AND AND yep screwed up again.....Smacking self in head,,,,,TURN KEY OFF RC......
But as mentioned before Col came to the rescue (do have jumper lead setup on Rhonda but left leads at home ???)

Still it is all in a days riding Col is interested doing the RAN thing for his area so Streak thats your thing,

Ok thats it from me need to move thins around as Karl is coming down to have his tow bar fitted to his 13.

First up, glad to hear everyone had a good time! (bastards)

Secondly, I missed this one because:

a: getting a quote done on tiling, cornicing and painting the kitchen,dining, living room,
b: friends dropped over unexpectedly,
c: more friends dropped over unexpectedly,
d: SWMBO didn't get home until 11:20am,
e: all of the above.

Anyway, I still had fun. :)

We had a awesome / fantastic coffee/overnighter round trip with clocking up 856k  :rockon We left Hervey Bay @6:15am and decided to do of the main Hiway riding as much as possible. Our ride went Maryborough to Tin Can Bay, Gympie to start with we're we pulled up to grab a hot cup a tea to warm up the inner man.....& lady.

With temps around 10/12deg and fog limiting visibility around Gympie to a couple hundred metres but all part of the days ride on a  awesome :blu13. So we headed south on the Bruce for about 10k & then turned of to do a science tour of the beautifully Mary Valley down to Kilcoy. After Leaving Kilcoy we then did the tourist drive/ride down through Somerset Dam to Esk were we met up with everyone for a great couple of hours and met a few new faces and great to see those we met at Biloela overnighter.

After leaving Esk we then went out to Dalby via Hampton, Meringandan, Oakey, Jondaryon were we refueled and then onto Dalby to catch up with family for the night before returning home Sunday to Hervey Bay. All in all it was a fantastic couple a days and perfect wether apart from a bad bed and having to wear our thermals to bed to try and keep warm.

 It was great to check out all the wish list items on a couple of the STeads and I hope your suit fitting went well for you Streak & Diesel  :thumb  I will keep dropping hints Barry re the Chrissy present bike gadgets.
