We used the LD's on our National Ride to Middelton and can recommend these as a great option to spend longer in the saddle.

I found the band around the legs a bit tight, but you don't notice it after a while.  They're certainly snug.

Funny how we found the opposite....we both ordered per their web sizes and could have come down a size, found them a little loose......but they do nothing to enhance my boyish figure  :p

I bought pants, long-sleeve top, helmet cap and socks. I recommend them - the helmet cap alone will make it much easier to keep your helmet liner sanitary.

I trusted them to allow me to wear my leather jacket rather than wear my synthetic jacket that allows me to remove the inner water-proof lining. However I was worried that this jacket would dehydrate me on the way to Middleton because I don't think this style of summer wear is meant for long-distance - 2 much perspiration evaporation.

The LDComfort gear removes moisture slowly, ie, it retains moisture in the outer layer and if u can organise a slight breeze by unzipping your leather sleeve a bit, then the stored moisture is circulated to create coolness. Another really neat trick is to pour some water down your sleeve (if you have the long-sleeve top) and the wetness will create a cool transference to your chest.

I didn't make it as far as Middleton, but the LDComfort wear got me 800km in a day. At no stage did I feel hot and the day we rode was hot. I also drank heaps of water at every op. However cramps caught up and spoiled my ride. Nothing to do with anything else but the fact that my heart meds are incompatible with Magnesium.

Just a bit of a re-hash of an old topic for riders travelling in the heat.......with the heat that the riders have experienced in and travelling to Perth National Rally I should have done this a month ago  :fp


This video gives a great example of the material used in manufacturing the LDComfort range and how it works to keep you cool when hot by wetting the garment and riding in a non mesh Jacket with all but your chest zip open just a little and your cuffs open to the breeze.

A number of members use LDComfort items and depending on distance to be travelled ride in some or all of it with the comfort they claim  :runyay

I was fortunate to get a whole kit full from Mario when I met him at the IBA International Meet in Denver August 2014...don't ride anywhere over 200kms without it in any temperature...  :like
