Hi all,
First a bit about myself, I have been riding bikes since I was 13 (now 31) starting on an RM50.
I have had a number of bikes over the years and at the moment I have a VT750 ACE and the "new" 1990 ST1100 :wht11
I have had the big11 for a few months now and have been mainly riding to work and home with the odd ride around the place for a bit of fun. :runyay
I mainly ride two up with the wife on the back, the longest run we have done was from Strathpine QLD to Moree NSW and back the next day. (A bit over 1000ks all up)
We would like to go riding more (when work allows) and when I came across this site (and after having a read) we thought it could be a bit of fun to tag along on the occasional ride (even if it is just a short one)
Anyway thought I'd say Hi :)
Dave

G'day Shiney - glad you found us. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here.
There are plenty of knowledgable folks on here who are only too happy to help with any queries you may have.
We go on regular rides through SEQ and get pretty good turn outs.
We're glad to have you and wifey along anytime. :thumbsup
Don't forget to read some of the older posts to find out what we've been yibbering about too.
See you round real soon.
Cheers, Diesel
Post pics, and post often. :thumb

The wife and I would love to come along for the Christmas gathering :)
Are people meeting up and riding out as a group? :wht11 :blk11 :rd13 and if so where are we meeting?
And finally since it is such short notice should we bring some snags as well as drinks?

Looks good for a 1990 model (the bike that is! may apply to the wife as well) Apart from usual age things, the charging system is the only thing to really learn about.
-
Thanks Saaz, the STeed is in good condition for her age just a few scratches here and there but all in all holding up very well :)
The wife’s doing alright too for an 1980 model :grin
Streak, are any of the guys meeting at a servo or some such and riding to Bribie together?
-
Not at this stage, unless anyone from brisbane wants to meet you and ride in with you, i will be coming from toowoomba myself so range traffic yaaay
-
Hopefully the traffic won't be to bad for you Streak *Crosses fingers*
I guess we will just meet everyone at Bribie and if we happen across anyone on the way we'll join them on the nice easy cruse there :wht11
Again thanks all for the amazing welcome :grin I look forward to meeting you all on Sunday (those that can make it) :)
-
Hi Shiney. Welcome. I am a newby myself. Unfortunately I can't make it on the weekend, however I would love to ride with you and your wife at some stage. I live in Camp Hill. You have a nice looking bike. Mine is a 2001 model. I have only had it about 9 months and can't get enough of it.
Merry Christmas. Webby
-
Hi Webby, thanks for the welcome :) we should definitely go for a cruise around some time :wht11 :dred11 unfortunately my wife and I don't get many weekends off (Shift work) but pm me when your going for a ride and hopefully we'll be able to join you :thumb
Happy Christmas

Humm...I think your onto something Saaz...it's noted that viewers have 'clicked' on Dave 3 times, his bike 9, and 17 time on his Wife :eek
-
It makes sense, I would rather look at my wife then me or my bike, she is better looking :grin
