The current issue of Motorcyle Trader has a club section and is asking for clubs to send in info.
Quote; "We want a maximum of 800 words which should have a brief review of the club's history, how it came about, what it's up to now, what services it provides for members, up coming events and a few stories that reveal the club's culture.
We'll also want some high-resolution images (minimum 600kb) so that the world can see why it should join. Make sure you also include all the necessary contact details and a website address if the club has one.
You can email the story and pics to MCT@bauertrader.com.au". end quote
Might be worth some words?

Not on the shelf here at Wickham !
-
I have my copy. Nice write-up :thumb

I'm not going out to buy a copy.
Got the pictures on here and can read it.
Might be me alone but I bought the first copy and read the bike tests etc.
Found one paragraph in each yarn which talked abt how a bike felt.
Seems to me (having spent most of my working life in newspapers or magazines) that the Bear is very busy and is just filling the spaces by using the company handouts.
Looked at Road Rider in the newsagent today and the Royal Enfield Club has two pages of pics and words.
AMM is being based on the old adage of "if it works don't change it" - take the covers off and how do you tell RR from AMM.
Always seemed a little odd to me that Bear should take a magazine fom being at the bottom of the pile, move it up to the top and then bail out. Be interesting to hear the full story behind his change of scenery.
But maybe having been in the industry and knowing how things work I am just a bit more cynical when it come to the offered product than the average reader.
So I'll just go to the libaray and have a flick through it.

I find it strange that issue two has a write up on the Moto Guzzi 1400 Californian but the road test is in issue three.........

Here's the great man himself at Maryborough today.
He's actually a very humble likable chappy.

Who remembers the TV program with Peter Wherret ? I would love to see a similar show based around motorcycles. It was a long time ago, but I remember road tests on vehicles being a REAL appraisal of them. Anyone with film and production expertise on here? I am of course, putting myself out there as the test pilot. :hatwave
-
Skip i believe it was called TORQUE.I was young at the time ,but i remember it.

Torque with Peter Wheret. Kel Wearne Motorcycle journo of the time) did a few motorcyle segments, but not a big part.
