Morning folks.
For years I have ridden around on a faithful 1977 CB750K until the arrival of an ex police ST1100 came along at the right price (yes it is white). Wanted one for some time.
I bought my 2005 ST1100 in 2009 and in September 2010, I rode across from Perth to Bathurst.
After Bathurst, a couple of us rode to Phillip Island via Echuca, the best ride in the world at the time including the 1 metre of rain each day.
After Phillip Island, we rode back to WA via the Great Ocean Road, the perfect trip.
Unfortunately I am a shift worker and it has been too difficult to arrange others to go on assorted trips as I am usually working on weekends, nightshift and late afternoon shifts, pays the bills I suppose.
Hence the ST has been parked in a locked garage hooked up to a battery charger for the past couple of years.
It has come to the stage I was thinking of selling the bike but was not confident in letting someone go for a test ride in case I never saw them or my bike again.
I have just discovered this forum and hopes of a resuscitation of bike riding has emerged again with the view of having a new social life and cobweb free bike.
Can't convince the missus to come along unless the roads are dead straight, she can't work out why you have to lean over when you come to a corner and then there is the messed up hair stories.
Dave R, did you make things go bang and talk a lot on the radio at one stage. If it was you, I think your line was, "I said stand by!!!!"
I believe a large number of ST riders and passengers are around these days and I hope to meet up with a few on runs in the near future.
Regards
HOFFY.

Hey Hoffy, I'm glad you've made it back into the saddle. Where in Perth are you?
Welcome aboard!

That's me Hoffy. (Stand-by)
Welcome to the best group of people you'll ever meet. They're full of information, help, funny stories and SH1T.
Finally got out of Geraldton then?
Seriously, they're a really great crowd here. Make sure you put pin on the location map showing roughly where you are so that other members can see if you're in the area of an upcoming ride etc.
Catch up soon I hope,
Take care m8,
Poppy Dave (Dave R) :wht13

Excellent that you saw the light before you sold the bike!!
No-one works 24/7, so get out on the road, Hoffy and burn some fossil fuel before the rest of us use it all up.

G'day HOFFY, welcome to the forum :hatwave

Hi Hoffy - welcome aboard mate.
Hope things work out to give you more saddle time in daylight hours!
Anyways - plenty of reading and seeing pics/vids here to keep you interested between rides - and good friends to be made as well.
Thanks for the intro.
