If you can't get to a service at least spare a thought.

I attended dawn service in West Wyalong this morning and had a brown sandwich for brekky  :beer. It was a great rollup.
While there 4 riders in jackets turned up and had breakfast. One named John struck up a conversation. I asked were they returning from the Ulysses AGM. Yes he said and that they were returning to Tassie. Nice I said. He then said I am riding an ST1100.
Well the ears pricked up and I asked him was he a member of OzStoc. No he said and he hadnt heard of it.  :eek  :fp So I whips out me trusty card supply and give him a card and told him about the website and the benefits of the club.
He was most impressed. He was having issues with 3 pin holes which had developed in his fuel tank. He said he had tried to repair them yesterday with self tappers with washers and other gunk. He hoped it would be enough to get him home, but then he would be in search of a new tank.
I suggested the forum would be a great place to start as someone will know of a bike being wrecked or a place he can get a tank repair done.
Looks like another member to add to the fold  :thumb

I attended the dawn service in Hellfire Pass Kanchanaburi (45Ks  from the river Kwai)

It was hot n dark, and had to walk down a million steps to the cutting and walk along the railbed to the point where the service was held. After 40 minutes, had to reverse the trip. I was melting by the time I reached the top, tho I wasnt the only one but. There was a huge crowd, of Ex Service, wives n kids and other civvies.

I will try to post a couple of pics later, but the interweb is slow here.

I spent Anzac Day as I usually do, went to Dawn service at Darwin North RSL, laid a wreath for the Ulysses club.  Then volunteered and worked my butt off all day at the RSL stocking fridges etc and ended up serving behind the bar when they were short staffed.  Now that was an interesting experience, never been on that side of a bar before  :grin
