My name is Rod but I use Rodd on the internet. Why? Because when I was a little lad my mum had a cutlery set made by a company called Rodd.

I have a 1998 Honda ST1100. I bought this bike because I wanted a reliable shaft drive tourer. I appreciate that it also has ABS, traction control, and combine braking.
I'm the second owner and it had 46000k's on the clock when I bought it.
Since buying it I have added the side and mirror wind deflectors, a Sargeant seat, 3.5" Roxx Risers, and a towbar.
Only fault is that the rear shock occasionally bottoms out with me, or Lisa and I on the bike.

Fortunately, my wife Lisa also enjoys going for an RTE, or an adventure out somewhere on the bike.
Interests: I have bought a Triumph Stag to do up, have dabble in Rock'n'roll lessons, singing and karaoke, and computers and gadgets.
So far all my rides have been maverick rides, but I look forward to future rides with other ST owners.

We both look forward to many years of bike adventure and seeing you lot out and about!

Hi Rod. Welcome. Gotta ask - is the Stag powered by the V8 or a six?
A mate had a V8 and it used to go like it was trying to frighten something.

Hi Rod and welcome to the looney bin.
I take it that she'll be the full alloy Rover V8, gotta watch the temperatures with those old girls easy to warp the engine.
I've got a 1970 MGB.
I was born in old Maryborough and grew up in Gayndah. Know the Area well. My Grandfather used to live in one of those houses that were oiled back and sides and only painted on the front in Kent Street where the road splits high and low.
We were in Muriel Street Aubinville....
Cheers

The Stag had the Leyland P76 4.4 litre V8 fitted but it's bolted to an engine stand at the moment. I'd like to fit the Toyota Lexus 1uz-fe engine and auto, but funds will not allow that for a while. The 4 speed manual is broken at the moment.
I know the areas that you refer to Sabie. Bought a Superbug from very near there years ago (where the road splits in kent st).
I have long been interested in the MGs (a friend here owns one).

Hello Rodd, and welcome!
Great choice of bike you have there, I will talk to you about rear shocks tomorrow at Esk, and what I did to solve my problems of bottoming out.
Look forward to meeting you

Howdy again Rodd! You sure picked a car that needs work done on it. Someone I knew years ago with a relatively new one had the engine fall out (her term..don't know the details) on Commonwealth Avenue Bridge in Canberra on the way to work. It was yellow so probably the cause....
Some years ago I got a neglected Mini 1100 going again, but having to adjust those drums brakes all the time was a pain (not to mention the rust, aftermarket heater core leaking etc etc)

Welcome Rodd, at 46,000 kms your bike is hardly run in.

Hello from the Cherry Capital Rodd.

Hi Rodd - great to meet you at Esk and M'Borough.
Hope you're having a ball here after being accosted by two of our finest at the AGM.
Hope to see you on plenty more RTEs too.
Cheers, Diesel
