Yep. Couldn't resist this one at the price. So Marissa and I are off to Bathurst next weekend to pick it up.
:dred11
Ok, so how do I add photo's on here?
Cheers

If you send them to me I can put up. basically, upload to something like photobucket, then use the link to either put in a post or view in photobucket.
Where are you going to put it in the shed :crackup
-
Congrats you two.
I know the bike you purchased, I think (only from the ad) she looks like a great bike and love the colour.
I have one pack of "o" rings to suit the rear tyre etc, look at thread and PM me with you want them.
Cheers
Dave

Going to be moving two other bikes out of the shed in time.

Thanks Dave, Yeah it's the same bike your thinking of.

That's true isn't it! I'm not sure it will come off now though? I've been made to feel as if I stepped on someone else's toes that was also interested in this bike but told me they couldn't afford it. I have left a message given first option to that person to decide if they really want it or not rather than the bike become an issue. There are lots of other great ST's out there if this one doesn't come off this time.
-
:thumbs that's a really nice bike .... Ticks all the boxes for me.
-
All is good now. Off to Bathurst this weekend to collect the ST. :grin

That's a very tasty bike he wouldn't 't return my calls so I guessed he had sold it love the red .
Went over to CMC canberra to test tide the black '96 with 41ks as I arrived he was sending someone out on a test ride . Seems like a good bike is easy to sell
-
Gonna be a good looking pair. the 11 and the Deauv.
Perhaps a paint job on Marissa's so they can be matching.
Anyone chasing a good looking blue 11 should check the for sale page here.
Finally posted a pic but haven't checked for a while to see of Alf still wants to sell.
-
Good to see you've bought the beST ST and not one of them ones that you have to change the seat. :clap Good colour too. :thumb

Well, unfortunately after driving all the way to Bathurst to buy the bike it wasn't anything like it looked in these photo's? :||||
It wasn't that it was a bad bike, it was just in considerably poorer condition than the photo's (and the owner) had suggested. >:()
I was disappointed as soon as I saw it. The amount of stone chips and other marks on the bike surprised me, and the fact the bike hadn't been detailed for sale told a story of lesser care than I was lead to believe the bike had enjoyed?
In fairness it was a 97 model bike and the owner was correct when he said "you have to expect that kind of wear and tear on a bike that age".
In the end we still enjoyed a great 4 day tour through some really pretty countryside. I have no regrets, and I am just thankful that I did go to the trouble of driving down there and inspecting the bike before buying it. Had I done as I have done a few times in the past and brought the bike off the photo's and arranged for it to be shipped up to Brisbane, I would have been spewing when it got here. :cuss
-
thats a bugger mate....there are more out there to be had though :thumbsup there is a rather nice red 2000 model here in toowoomba i keep telling everyone about lol
-
At least you had a good trip. There seem to be a few ST11s coming up for sale with not that much mileage on them.

Humm... :think1...Oh! That's right I remember now, yeah it called dai jar something a rather isn't. Nuffin' wrong with my memory :law
Look Baz fess up...the only thing that attracted you to this bike woz its colour that had just the vaguest similarity to...say a VFR, coz that metal structure to the left of the house is no longer a shed is it! It's become a bower. :eek
Might I suggest U throw a leg over the easiest bike to get out of the bower and spend a few days looking in paddocks looking at old Case numbers and work ya way down this way to meet up with moi, John et al on the 25th and we'll chat about that black big bird suit you've taken a shine to :wink1
Too easy,
Ciao, the can:-)
-
If you do find another what is being rolled out of the garage never to return?

That's right Dickie. There is a bit of da jar vue here. The last ST1100 I went to Melbourne to buy was also a dud, and I ended up coming home empty handed on that trip too. That one wouldn't even start when I got there. I'll have to read up and find out whats going on on the 25th?

Most likely the BMW, Ian. Not sure yet though?
-
Misleading advertising and a seller "upping" his bike.... Who would have thought that could happen? At least you had a nice four day trip, but disappointing nevertheless.
