What could possibly go wrong?

That takes me all the way back to last week's voice menu on Telstra.
At least the computer eventually connects you to an operator, although that is a mixed blessing all of its own.

If this is the same line as asking for a phone number, it has me beat why you have to go through all the rigmarole of speaking to a computer generated questionnaire then get told you'll now be connected to an operator. :fp
Why on earth couldn't they cut out the computer, and go straight to the operator who's going to give you the info you wanted in the first place! :|||| :CB--
Its enough to bring on a Basil Fawlty moment :cuss

It's pretty much any line you call, and it's getting to be the same with calls to any business. I got the same run-around trying to get a part for our oven. Three menus before I got to speak to a person (who then transferred me).
And THAT can be a hoot in its own right, when the line drops out to disengaged tone after you've been transferred. >:()
