That takes me all the way back to last week's voice menu on Telstra.
At least the computer eventually connects you to an operator, although that is a mixed blessing all of its own.

If this is the same line as asking for a phone number, it has me beat why you have to go through all the rigmarole of speaking to a computer generated questionnaire then get told you'll now be connected to an operator.   :fp
Why on earth couldn't they cut out the computer, and go straight to the operator who's going to give you the info you wanted in the first place!  :|||| :CB--

It's pretty much any line you call, and it's getting to be the same with calls to any business.  I got the same run-around trying to get a part for our oven.  Three menus before I got to speak to a person (who then transferred me).
And THAT can be a hoot in its own right, when the line drops out to disengaged tone after you've been transferred.     >:()
