Well now that I've got the 1300 let the process begin.
TC mentioned to me that when he remodels my seat we could think about including seat warmers for both seats. The first idea was to fit grip warmers in the foam but the purpose built item is available.
Next is a fender extender as I live on a gravel road and after coming home yesterday the mud on the front of the engine really detracts from the bike and I want to keep it clean.
Anybody have experience with these farkles?

Brad, can recommend the Oxford Hot grips, 4 heat control settings easy to install.......the fender extenders are made by a number of ppl, I have the bike-quip one from the UK which is good, but not as good as the MCL as it is longer and covers ALL of the effected area.
Interested to see how your seat comes up, still havnt moved past Airhawks and sheep skin yet.
Cheers

+1 for the Oxford "Hot Grips" as I couldn't get by without them, but have never felt the need for a heated seat.
I've fitted a RadGuard, but not a Fender Extender.

Yep - The MCL (Motor Cycle Larry) fender extender is full length and keeps all mud and stones away from the front of the bike. It works a treat on my ST1300.
I have OEM heated grips and they do the job nicely to keep those fingers warm so your fingers dont lock up.
I reckon a seat warmer isnt as warranted as making sure you have warm feet and warm hands. A good set of thermals will keep the arms and legs warm. A heated vest under your jacket would be the go.
A 1.5 inch riser from MCl makes for a nice riding position without having to alter cables and hoses.
MCC Cruise control for the highway is a must as well as a $10 throttleRocker for around town.
Sargeant seats - You can do the extra distance a lot easier
Goodwool seat covers - added comfort
These added little luxuries allowed me to cover a lot more distance each day, which is important when you live in the middle of the state.
