Title: Driving Light Mountings For 1100
Post by: alans1100 on December 19, 2011, 11:18:48 AM
I found the extra light mountings from the ST1100 police bike. Parts 15 & 16 plus bolts 23 & 24.

Hi all,

I was asked for a wiring diagram for the spotlights on my 1100. I lost the one that came with my set but this a basic lay out.

Spotlights on my 1100 taken at Karratha truck stop while living there June 2009

How I mounted them under headlight. Mounted bracket and used the two screws for fairing mount.

Placed the light Switch in the optional switch cut-a-way on left fairing.

It's not to elegant, but it works and If I decided to remove them the fairing remains undamaged.

Alan, any reinforcing  up under where the brackets are mounted, or is that area plenty strong enough?  I have the police brackets, but under there might be good for lightweight LEDs or such

Just like any ST - just check the great trailer he has in tow - power to go with power to spare

I have seen 4 x LED lights (strip) mounted in same position - not drive light but xtra awareness lights

I would hate to hazard a guess but I can't see or feel anything under the headlight.
