Post by: Abe on June 11, 2013, 03:10:10 PM
What farkles have you got planned (if any) for this Winter.

Mine is modifying dash and add power socket.

Cheers

None really, as all has been done. I do have to run diagnostics on the mccruise as it has not been engaging properly and keeping the set speed. Just a matter of following through the detailed diagnostic instructions.

Is washing the bike a farkle? If I don't go to Metung then the rain will not clean it, so have to wash it...

I've just done my dash shelf and power install which will do for a while, plus the LED brake light.

I am farkeling/modifying Mrs Sabie's Boulevard for next years rally. Starting soon as there's much to do.

- modify foot brake closer to rider
- Modify gear shift closer to rider (shorten)
- Lambswool seat pad
- Back rest
- modify to single seat rego
- place chrome single seat rack on bike
- buy seat bag
- small tank bag or screen bag
- install wind deflectors to front screen to reduce wind on rider
- look at installing a Brakeaway throttle lock.

For the rider

- wet weather gear top and bottom
- New helmet
- Sena helmet Comms X 2

I think that's just about it.....

I hope it means she will be able to enjoy the ride there  :thumbs  I should put on the sheepskin cover I have for the ST, but I will need to take a waterproof cover of some sort as nothing worse than a wet sheepskin seat to start the day

Yer Saaz control mod's are a must and being done by a company that modify s bikes for disabled riders, not that Pauline is disabled, she has to reach for the gears and brake.

Everything else I'd for the ride from Townsville down the coast to the bottom of Aus across to the GOR up to Ballarat and then up the middle to home.

Winter is coming...

...and with tyres like that, you wouldn't want to get in its way!
