It is a chance to get the message out about our new take on strokes and the importance of ringing Triple Zero as soon as symptoms happen. I just did my job and completed the new training package the week before this lady had her stroke. If it means we can save another life and allow someone to be with their family for longer, then that is worth the effort :thumb
Cheers

Well done mate. Next time you get that sort of publicity - don't pose you could put in OzSTOC's website addie could ya? Nah. Never mind. :wink1
Seriously - Another very grateful family that you guys do a great job. I, for one, am in awe of you. :thumb

It just so happens as this thread was getting started this morning that on the local ABC radio 666 there was a segment on paramedics and how the training and roles have changed over the years - this was ACT focused being local ABC. I have not had the personal pleasure of having to be helped, but have called the paramedics a few times on behalf of others and have always been impressed on how they handle stressful situations (at least stressful for those doing the calling).
And on a lighter note, I can see why Anthony is now our go to TV guy - Maryborough and now West Wylong - what next?? Guyrah???

Having had a couple of trips horizontally in the back of an ambulance in a hurry, I'm a fan of ambo's. As well as having a couple of mates who've done the job.
Well done guys. Truly urban heroes. :clap :clap :clap
