Had a chat with 2 of our finest bikers in blue today, one on FJR, the other on ST1300, FJR is slightly quicker, ST is better bike but need FJR exhaust for a sexier note was the outcome.

Fitted Delkevics to the ST1300 yesterday, so I guess that fixes that. :thumb

Hi Marty,
Just be careful that you don't void your warranty.
HONDA products modified from original HONDA specifications or fitted with a sports kit will void warranty. (Modifications include but are not limited to, sprocket size, gear ratios, electrical loads, carburation, and intake and exhaust system changes.)

My mate just bought an FJR. Nice bike but doesnt look like it has the weather protection the ST has.
Went for a ride through the Adelaide hills on Tuesday, he's still learning the in and outs of it, his last bike was a cruiser. I think the Yammie has a bit more horse power and is lighter but I'll stick with what I've got.
The only gripe I can level at the ST is deadweight when parking, It can be a real pain when the roads sloping the wrong way or bike leans over too far. Had to get my mate to help me get it upright at Oakbank there just was'nt a good park available.

I agree the ST needs reverse as the wing has.

Good point, Alan. It got me thinking and I have started a new topic asking whether people have had warranty claims on their ST1300.
