The below was snipped from the Qld Police Website subsidiary....
In recent months in Dayboro and the surrounding areas drivers have encountered a number of unexpected road users. There have been collisions involving cattle, wild deer, wild pigs as well as native and domestic animals. Larger animals can cause quite a bit of damage and a potentially serious crash. The danger period is definitely at night time so always drive for the unexpected. Even the best maintained fences will not always keep stock in and any animal on the road can be unpredictable. The Dayboro Police vehicle found this out the hard way recently. Whilst blocking the road to turn around a wayward steer, the big fellow decided to dodge right than than left and ran straight into the back of the car, leaving a large dent. To report loose stock contact Moreton Bay Shire Council 3205 0555 or Police Link 131444.

Hey Turtle, you should be riding more, not sleeping one off in the middle of the road! I guess as long as you leave the ST1100 on the side of the road it's not that bad. :rofl

I posted a while ago about a flying wheelbarrow - not tied down on the back of ute. It wasn't a living creature, but behaved like a mad crow weaving through the air.... does that count?

I've had wild camels crossing the road up near Marble Bar.
Usually only see the emus, roos and a fox every now and then. I did have one wedge tail between Karratha and Carnarvon that had no intention of leaving the road kill. I felt the need to duck as it took off in front of me and it seemed the wing span was a lane width.

I have had some strange animals turn up and follow me on day trips many times and these ones are able to ride Motorbikes, tell story's and come in all shapes and sizes :popcorn

A couple of years ago I was travelling along the New England Hwy south of Warwick when I came across an eagle in the middle of the road eating dinner. Normaly the birds take off quickly, but this time I had to slow down as he wouldn't move. As I drove past (had the family) the monster was up to the bottom of the window on the drivers door on the Kia Carnival. Now thats a bird.
:eek

Can't see what the fuss is about! Diesel asked for information. I provided it in the generous spirit of helpfulness that characterises my contributions and he starts crying for Dadda!
Go figure... :whistle
