Title: wanted old st muflers
Post by: winston66 on August 09, 2013, 10:49:00 PM
Winston66, Northampton ,Western Australia
Hello everyone, I an wanting to modify the exhaust system on my No.2 ride which is a 1996 XVZ Yamaha Royal Star which has a four into four system.
The damn thing is just too loud for me and I get headache after about an hour.
The St is so quiet that I am thinking of possibly modifying a couple of ST mufflers to suit.
The question is , Does anyone have a couple of these as surplus to their requirements, Perhaps they were changed out at some time (or damaged) for a pair of those fabulous Develics ( is that how its spelt).
These replacements will not be seen as They will be fitted under the deck on the outrigger conversion that I have made to the Royal Star so their appearance or or look is not important, scratches and dents etc, will be acceptable.
If anyone knows of some please let me know.
Cheers to all,
Winston66, Northampton

I have a spare set you can have if you want to pay their way, unless if someone is closer has a set :)

Hi Streak, (is it Graham), Thanks for your quick reply, Yes I am really interested in your mufflers and very happy about your offer . Can you let me know how much they weigh so that so that I can work out the postage.
Cheers Winston Lee  Northampton WA.

If Winston66 is taking the ones from Yorkie, could I buy Streaks. I have Staintunes at the moment and I want to see how much difference original pipes make. I can pick up from Toowoomba and pay an appropriate price.

bluey you are welcome to them if Winston does not want them, and the only cost is a coffee if your coming up to see me  :thumb

Yokie's mufflers have arrived, so now I can get on with the mods to the  Royal Star. and thanks again Yorkie,
I am going to have a job to do for the next few days, there goes my afternoon nap. so I guess I won't be getting into any mischief for the next few days at least.

Many thanks Steak, I would love to try them on my machine.

I'll pm you to arrange to collect them. I'm going overseas in a few days time and I won't be back until the end of September, so I'll tentatively plan to collect them in early October - if that is OK with you. As I said, I'll pm you soon.
