Title: newbie,perth,wa
Post by: robb on August 18, 2013, 07:39:03 PM
:fp From manchester,uk.Been here 4 1/2 years but didnt bring my bike(but did bring my wife !)I didnt think I would buy a bike over here as the driving is(lets keep it clean )poor. The draw of biking wont let go,so here we go,im looking to buy a bike for pleasure/weekends.I know the st is a faired bike and its hot for 6 months of the year but ive always wanted one,im prepared to sweat.Which brings me to a observation about perth, when i used to go jogging in rainy Manchester and i stood in some dog s**t,no problem, when i get home it only takes a few minutes to wash my trainers.no problem unless i lick my fingers.....Now when i go jogging in sunny perth and i step on some dog S**t you twist your F*****g ancle and are hopping around for weeks......so ive got to say the dog s**t in the UK is better !

Welcome Robb,

Great bunch in the west there was an excellent event this morning actually! I am sure this lot will help you find the perfect bike for you  :thumb

I recommend the ST1100 myself, but I am a little bias...

Welcome to the forum Robb, a good group of people here.

As for the dog poo, I think you are talking S*1*.

WA Dog poo is obviously of better quality. It may no always break an ankle, but there is no way that you can wash it off with out the use of a high powered industrial strength power washer

G'day Robb, welcome to the forum :hatwave

I would suggest getting a ST1300 :grin The electric screen means you can adjust how much air flow you receive :thumb :runyay

Or as a few of the guys have done, even more airflow can be had by getting a second screen and having it cut down for use in the hotter months :thumbsup this will work for either the 1300 or 1100 :clap

Good luck with the hunt for your new ST :thumbs

Cheers
Shiney
