Hi Guys
Being a mechanical Neanderthal, can you please tell me what I am looking at in the picture.
From the comments I can imagine it is nothing good!

Webby, its the starter relay and its connector. Its essentially an electronic switch that tells the starter motor to do its job. This ones f*&%$, so it cant send current to the starter motor to crank the engine.
Its located on the lower left, between the battery and the starter motor. They are prone to picking up moisture and dirt, resulting in what you see in the pics................Pays to check em from time to time.................

Evert ST11 owner whould check theirs once in a while, as when it goes no power to anything (one clock circuit still operates). There are two fixes for this - simple bypass of the red wire around the connector, or put in a relay to route power directly from the battery/alternator to the fuseboxes, thereby bypassing all the power going through the ignition switch.

Not being mechanical, my head hurts thinking about this. That is why I appreciate this site so much. Great people and great advice.
Happy New Year.
