Well in that case cant help you, as I have an 1100. ( I have a little note on the page that reminds me what I have and that it white :) )

When you find out, write it up in the 1300 maintenance section with pics so others can find out how.

Oh, and Happy New Year

Do you want the hard way or the easy way?

Hard way: try and get your hand through the fairing.

Squeeze the tags on the side of the plug. Then pull the plug off the globe.

Remove rubber boot. Fiddle around and detatch the spring clip retaining the globe.
If you are using standard  globes you will have to A: fit shims so that H4 globes can be fitted or B: (what I did with my HID's) bend both bottom tags at 90 degrees backwards to fit into the housing. The retaining clip holds the globe securely enough without those tags.

The easy way is to remove the plastic under the headlights. This will give you more room to move in the confined space.
If you have a spare hour. the fairing removal is by far the easiest way. You and swing a gerbil in there.

Well cats are too big so a mouse would fit in there.

As you can gather, there is not much room behind the headlights for very much.
