Wrong bowser. Nothing of interest to you in that one Dave. Only petrol there Mate. :grin
I do know it often costs me over $40 to fill the ST13 these days. We're heading for $2 a litre in the cities.
-
That's what we pay all the time, it's actually cheaper to buy fuel in Katherine than it is in Darwin :cuss :cuss :cuss :cuss :cuss :cuss :cuss
-
Cheaper than Tassie mate! :cuss and unfortunately it's only going to get worse!
-
Well done, as it is even more than Canberra. Often it is cheaper to fill up in Yass or Goulburn, but on the freeway to Sydney it is about the same. We did get some price cycles going for a while, but lately the price just stays the same regardless of it going down elsewhere. Coles and Woolworths have seized the market, so probably not a coincidence.

But surely they would compete to drive the price down!
Yeah, right... :whistle

Mine is on order......

Its currently 167.9 for standard unleaded here, 182.9 for premium, 170.9 for diesel, 115.9 for autogas. I think we win as far as ridiculous prices go, especially since the tankers from Singapore unload in Darwin Harbour!
-
Those diesel bike engines a pretty substantial looking units. At this stage of development I'm guessing the engines out-weigh petrol equivalents by a fair bit.
-
Yep.... about $200 to fill my Patrol at those prices assuming diesel about 1.70. That's why the 1100 is my daily!

First stop in WA for tankers from Singa's is Port Hedland, one of the most expensive towns in the state for fuel.
Around 10 years ago BP published the cost to freight avgas from Hedland to Broome, 600k, was 2c per litre.

If you go and fill up at Nullabor Station you might not complain..well over $2 a litre for normal grade

$2.21.9 for unleaded here in NZ in towns. Price competition, don't make me laugh.

Well I guess that is the reason why I bother to, and that I can, fill up my turbo and diesel powered Iveco van with used vegetable oil. The main tank can hold 500 liters, and run it for less than one tenth of the diesel price.
I recently had a return trip to Exmouth and back about 2500 klms. and all it cost me two and a half liters of diesel $4-50 and approx 300 liters of vege. oil just for the cost of filtering it a max of $20-00
I can honestly say, that works out at an estimated saving of $520-00 at least for fuel for that little jaunt.
Cheers to all,

Those prices are so 12 months ago. We're a couple of cents lower than Wendy.
Although, when ST2UP and I left Middleton this year, south of Mt Gambier I paid $ 2.04 a litre for Premium just outside of Port MacDonnell.

$2.21.9 for unleaded here in NZ in towns.
I just got back from two weeks in NZ and I almost needed CPR when I saw the price of petrol - $NZ2.29/L, that's just about $A2.00/L. And that was in a port town, just a kilomoetre or so from the fuel terminal.
Luckily I was using a diesel car and diesel is only $1.59/L (plus road user dharges, but someone else was paying those :clap )

$1.50/l unleaded here today. Still too high tho.
