Title: handle bar width
Post by: royst1100 on September 21, 2013, 09:02:06 PM
after a discussion at Inverell about the dreaded over correcting at low speed I thought of my old honda boldor. on my boldor Id put quite wide bars with very bad over correcting of which I almost eliminated cutting bars. I've been thinking of doing the same and shave 50mm of both side of bars. has anyone tried this or could this be dangerous. input on this idea would be most welcome

I think reducing would be a mistake, as the effort required to move the bars at low speed would rise a lot. because of lower leverage (Physics). Apart from that, there isnt any spare bar to cut off, its all full of grips n switches.
